WHAT IS SCALED AGILE FRAMEWOK IN A NUTSHELL?
The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a set of principles, practices, and competencies for scaling Agile methodologies to large enterprises. It provides a framework for organizing and coordinating the work of multiple Agile teams and aligning their efforts with the larger goals of the organization.
SAFe is based on Agile principles, such as customer focus, continuous improvement, and collaboration, but it adds additional layers of structure and coordination to enable larger-scale projects. It is designed to help organizations:
- Align their work with strategic business objectives
- Coordinate the efforts of multiple teams and stakeholders
- Deliver value to customers more quickly and efficiently
- Continuously improve their processes and practices.
SAFe consists of three levels: the team level, the program level, and the portfolio level. At each level, there are specific roles, artifacts, and ceremonies to help teams collaborate and coordinate their work.
SAFe has become a popular framework for large enterprises that are adopting Agile methodologies, particularly in industries such as finance, healthcare, and government. It is supported by a large community of practitioners, as well as training and certification programs.
